To stay healthy and away from any illnesses we should be very careful for the foods we eat. If we go to the grocery store, we need to read the label carefully before we buy it. Make sure that the fats, calories and cholesterol are low. There are two types of cholesterol in the body.
The first one is the LDL cholesterol or what we called low density lipoprotein chlolesterol. This is the bad cholesterol in our body. You know why? It’s because when there’s too much LDL in our body, the excess builds up in the bloodstream and attaches to the inside of the artery walls. It will form a clog that we called plaque. This time the flow of blood in your body will become slower and could hardly flow. It is very danger if the plaque breaks loose from the artery wall. It can block the blood flow completely. So, we need to be very careful and find ways to lower our LDL cholesterol. There is a possibility that you will experience heart attack or stroke.
The second type of cholesterol is what we called high density lipoprotein or HDL. It is known as the good cholesterol in the body. You can get this from the healthy foods you eat. It helps rid the bloodstream of the cholesterol build up by transporting the excess back to the liver where it is processed for elimination from the body. You will be happy if this kind of cholesterol is high in your body because it is good cholesterol.
